How This Started
Truck Policy was founded by Richard Sweet.
Before insurance, Richard spent over 25 years working in logistics, operations, and heavy industry. He dealt with real-world risk, real deadlines, and real consequences — not theory.
He started this agency after seeing too many trucking businesses get bad advice from people who didn’t understand how trucking actually works.
The goal was simple:
Build an agency that understands trucking and treats clients like adults.

Richard leads the agency and works closely with owners and fleets dealing with new policies, renewals, and tougher insurance situations. He brings an operations mindset to insurance and believes the right coverage should support your business — not hold it back.

Hugo is based in Southern California and works with owner-operators and fleets across the Western U.S. He supports clients in both English and Spanish and leads our outreach to Spanish-speaking trucking businesses.
